Miranda Rylance is registered with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017 and received her Honours Bachelor of Arts from University of Waterloo in 2009 with a major in psychology and minor in criminology and legal studies. Since 2009, Ms. Rylance has practiced in a variety of clinical settings and roles including community mental health, health and wellness teams, and community justice settings. Miranda has a warm, welcoming and compassionate personality, is committed to providing person-centred care and integrates various approaches to meet the needs of clients’. Miranda has worked with individuals, couples, families and groups surrounding various concerns including anxiety, depression, chronic physical health conditions, interpersonal violence, childhood abuse and oppression based on race, gender and sexual orientation. In Dr. Casteels' practice she will be meeting with adults for individual psychotherapy. Miranda is a trauma-informed practitioner and incorporates interventions from various models of treatment including Mindfulness, Attachment therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative therapy.
